There is a little known yet simple formula to Christian healing. You can be healing people the same way Jesus Christ and his apostles did when all the right conditions are met.
Jesus and the apostles believed that God can and will heal people. They had a positive mindset about it and they were always walking by faith with the Gift of Holy Spirit in the power of God. Once you have that going on, then The Formula is reduced down to only 2 simple steps.
It’s so easy that it’s only 2 steps. Are you ready for it? Here it is:
- Listen to God
- Do what He says
That’s it! – I’ll give you a second to let that sink in. You know, it’s no different from the way all the other manifestations of the holy spirit work:
- You have to listen to God in one or more of the various ways He communicates with you. Speaking in Tongues, Prophecy, Word of Knowledge, Word of Wisdom, in your heart, by intuition, through other people, etc. We’ve covered these in previous lessons.
- And then you have to take action on what he tells you. None of the manifestations work if you are not taking action.
Listen to God and do what He says. Easier said than done, right? How many times have we messed up those two simple steps? Think about it.
Allow me to share some of my imperfections with you in order to illustrate this point. There are times when God speaks to me, I hear what He tells me, and I know what He wants from me… but sometimes I don’t do it. Why? I don’t know. Doubt, worry, fear… take your pick.
- Maybe I doubt my capabilities, or I doubt that what I heard was really from God.
- Maybe I worry what other people will think of me if I do what He asks, or I worry about the outcome.
- Maybe I fear going into an uncomfortable situation or I fear that it won’t work.
Like I’ve said before, and will always be the first one to tell you, that I’m not perfect. Sometimes I make mistakes and mess things up when not walking by faith. I’m human and I’m fallible... and so are each of you. God forgives you for your mistakes; understand that.
If you’ve made mistakes and messed things up then don’t beat yourself up about it. Just learn from your mistakes, fix them and move on.
Let me tell you something from personal experience: Doubt, worry and fear are miracle killers. They are the Off Switches to God’s power in your life. When you are operating doubt, worry and fear then no Christian healing comes of it.
Do you remember what the On Switches are? Confidence, trust and believing. Walking by Faith turns the power on.
When you have confidence in your personal and spiritual abilities, and you have trust in God that He will do as He promises, then that leads to an increase in your believing and stronger faith that what God wants to do through you will most certainly come to pass. This goes for Christian healing and for every manifestation of the Gift of Holy Spirit.
What’s that 2-Step formula again?
1) Listen to God
2) Do what He says
If God wants you to put on a party hat and whistle Dixie while jumping up and down on one leg in a crowded room... then that’s what you do! No questions asked. He probably has a very good reason for you to do that. And you’ll find out what it was after you do it.
Rarely will you know before. God likes surprising you and He wants you to trust Him and be operating on faith.
Gifts of Healing begin with being humble to God and His word.
- Then having confidence in your abilities to follow His directions.
- Trusting in His great love for you.
- And believing that God can and will heal you if you let Him.
Will you? Will you let God heal you today? Right here, right now?
Psalms 107:20 says, “He (God) sent his word, and healed them, and delivered [them] from their destructions.”
Jesus said to the blind man in Mark 10:52 “Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.” The blind man believed first, and then he was healed. Praise the Lord!
Emotional healing has already begun for you just by hearing His word. By learning about His promises. You know what you need to do next. You know how Christian healing works. Let’s keep it going. Be walking by faith daily and see Christian healing come to pass in your life.
