To: The Saints in the Body of Christ Jesus our Lord
What you are about to read is not of my own thought but what GOD has revealed to me to share with you. This may be old to some and new to others, but as I went about thinking of the many topics, issues and subjects that I could write about there were a few that I thought were great but when I removed my self and listened to what my Father has always told me it came to this:
Renewed mind is the key that opens the doors to sight; and with sight, you can see the blessings, promises and who you really are in Christ.
This adjective “Renewed” is a matter of change from one state to another; now the verb “Renewing” is an active state of changing from one way to another. We (and I do mean we), as Sons of GOD, the Father of our Lord Christ Jesus has told and instructed and remind us on how to do this renewing of the mind.
I like to look at Proverbs. Why? Because as a parent we constantly give our children instruction first then reminders and finally they are always being told what you instructed them in and reminding them over and over till finally, yes I've told them over and over again.
The beginning of Proverbs starts with Instruction on how to get there, how to turn away the world and start the process of mind renewal. Proverbs 1:1-4 states: “The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel; To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding; To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity; To give subtlety to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.”
As we move into chapter two, it is instruction with results. Proverbs 2:1-11 “My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee; So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God. For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints. Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path. When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee.”
And Proverbs 3:1-8 is the key to it all. Verse 1-4 is a reminder with more instruction.
Proverbs 3:1-4 “My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: So shalt thou find favor and good understanding in the sight of God and man.”
The key to renewing your mind is found in proverbs 3:5-8 “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.”
Remove your thoughts and place our Father’s will, his thoughts, in its place and not let yours interfere. So do I walk with a renewed mind 100% daily? I think not! As I spiritually tune in and out and battle the world (My own thoughts) daily, I am without a doubt moving up and down that scale of 0------50-----100. I am renewing and renewed on a constant basis.
Instruction again from our Lord, (Matthew 22:37-40): “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”
WOW this mirrors (Proverbs 3:5): “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” …to think and see the same as our Father and care for the body of believers!
Getting instruction on how to and why (From GODs Word) and having the courage and heart to do it is renewing your mind in it self. Being reminded and told again in (Ephesians 4:23): “And be renewed in the spirit of your mind”.
We see that even the most experienced and strongest of believers are subject to the same instruction and reminders as babes in the word. So, do we condemn ourselves? NO! Why not? First (John 4:4): “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”
That verse is a wake up call to us that no matter what: WE ARE OF GOD (The FATHER of our Lord Jesus Christ, we are GOD’S children, NOT THE god of this world) and have overcome (VICTORIOUS) them, because greater is he that is in us (Christ in you, the SAME seed that is in Christ IS IN US, we are anointed too) than he that is in the world” (Those whose thoughts are not of our Father).
Let us keep and help one another, in prayer and in thought (GODLY Visions) and in tune with our father. GOD Bless You!
