Can We Just Talk?
I know some times when we talk
I ask, complain and even squawk
I sit there feeling safe as can be
Parking my ramp on your proverbial knee
You cool me down leave me rest assured
I get so thankful for what cannot be measured
When my heart is pounding like its beating a rock
You are there with me around the clock
Like jumping in a pool, I feel submerged in you
When I love you with my whole whole heart
Maybe you feel the same way too
Tears of joy, laughter or pain
With you it's like dancing in the rain
When I'm in the river you are my rock
You are my wake up call before that
Noisy cackling cock
You remind me to eat my daily meals
Your word is rich in vitamins
How strong it makes me feel
You bring the words from deep within
With you as my guide I know where to begin
So just bring me home, any time any day
I look forward to doing things your way
Today let me lay my heavy head on your universe size lap
so that I can unload all this worldly crap!
