About Us:
God's Word First International, founded in 2004 by Daniel Sweet, is a worldwide non-denominational biblical research, teaching, and fellowship ministry headquartered in Vista, CA.
We are an action oriented Christian Ministry; meaning, we focus on learning and then doing the word rather than being hearers only. (James 1:22, 25)
As an intermediate to advanced biblical research ministry, people who study with us are already born again Christians from different churches and denominations all over the world. They come with a basic knowledge of scripture, know the books of the Bible and have some experience manifesting "Power from on High".
If you are searching for greater knowledge and deeper understanding of the scriptures that are not offered by your church and/or specific "How to" information regarding manifesting the Gift of Holy Spirit then you have found a new home with God's Word First and we welcome you with open arms. We do not judge or force our opinions upon anyone. We believe each person has the right to operate free will in their own lives according to God's Word as they see fit.
God’s Word First International draws from all relevant sources that shed light on the integrity of Scripture, such as geography, customs, language, history, and principles governing Bible interpretation.
We seek biblical truth without respect to tradition, "pagan orthodoxy,” or popular Christian trends and teachings. Jesus Christ declared himself as the truth, and stated "you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. (John 8:32) However,
Through extensive research and discovery by many noted experts and famous biblical scholars, we at God's Word First have come to believe that Christianity as practiced by the Apostles and disciples of Christ Jesus in the First Century church is the truth as written in the Bible.
As such, we believe in one single God (Yahweh in Hebrew) whom we call our Father, in the Lord Christ Jesus who we know as the Son of God our promised Messiah (1 Cor. 8:6, Eph. 4:5, 6), and in the gift of holy spirit. Read More
Our Vision Statement:
That the Gift of Holy Spirit be fully realized within every born again Christian manifesting Power from on High for greater spiritual prosperity.
Our Foundational Verses:
• Exodus 20:2-3 "I am the Lord thy God ... Thou shalt have no other gods before me."
• 2 Tim. 2:15 "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth."
• 2 Cor 9:8 “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.”
• James 1:22, 25 "But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only ... and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed."
What We Believe:
1) We believe the scriptures found in the Old and New Testaments were verbally inspired by God via the holy spirit and as such are perfect in the original writing and that they are profitable for doctrine of right believing, reproof and for correction. They are the supreme, absolute and final authority in faith, life and godliness. God is our sufficiency in all things in that He has supplied us with everything we need in order to live a blessed and abundant life.
2) We believe the Bible to be perfect and complete in its communication. As such, the Bible cannot contradict itself. Any apparent contradiction is due to a translational error and/or lack of our own understanding. The Bible interprets itself in the verse, in the context, where the passage has been used before, to whom it was written and in light of the various literary and social-historical contexts during the time in which it was written.
3) We believe in one God, the Creator of the heavens and the earth; in His Son who is the promised Messiah known as Christ Jesus, whom God raised up from the dead; and we believe in the working of the Holy Spirit.
4) We believe that the Virgin Mary miraculously conceived by the Holy Spirit and bore a natural child; that God was in Christ and that Jesus Christ was a human individual, a flesh and blood man.
5) We believe that the first modern man (Adam) was created in the spiritual image of God, that Adam sinned and thereby brought upon himself and his family spiritual death (which is separation from God) and also eventual physical death, which is the consequence of sin. All human beings since then have followed the lineage of Adam and as such have inherited and are thus born with his sinful nature.
6) We believe that Jesus Christ willingly died for our sins according to the scriptures, as a representative and substitute for us; and that all who accept Christ as their personal lord, believe that God raised him from the dead and speak that belief aloud are justified and made righteous, born again of the Spirit of God, receiving eternal life on the grounds of His eternal redemption; and thereby become by adoption Sons of God with Sonship Rights according to scriptural law.
7) We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord Jesus Christ, his ascension into heaven and his being seated at the right hand of God. We believe in the blessed hope of Christ's eventual return and our gathering together unto him upon his return and calling forth. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust in that future time of the great judgment.
8) We believe in the receiving of the fullness of God’s special gift of holy spirit made available to all whom believe upon Christ as described in the Book of Acts Chapter 2, that which is power from on high, in the nine manifestations of the gift of holy spirit plus all nine corresponding fruits of the spirit.
9) We believe that God’s Word is His Will; and as such it is available to receive all that God promises us in His Word according to our faith. We believe that "the Holy Spirit" is another name for God, while "holy spirit" is God's gift of His divine nature that a person receives when he is born again. We believe we are free in Christ Jesus through the gift of holy spirit to receive all that he accomplished for us by his substitution.
Our Sonship Rights:
We have five God given rights available to us as born again believers and as Sons of God.
They are the following:
1) Redemption: Being brought back together with God after we have strayed. Heb 2:14
2) Justification: The right to stand approved before God. He sees nothing of our sinful past. Romans 4:25
3) Righteousness: The high and holy privilege of appearing before God without any sense of guilt or condemnation because we are as perfect as God sees us to be. Romans 5:19
4) Sanctification: To be set apart by God for heaven from the sinful nature of man and from the corrupt natural world. Acts 26:18
5) Ministry of Reconciliation: Being able to bring others back together with God utilizing the right of redemption. 2 Cor 5:18
